Após uma sequência de outros incidentes, Setsuna observa a ira que permeia Reiji e decide reagir.
A equipe de Reiji rastreia uma nova Onda Negativa de Emorgy, e ele parte em direção à Terra-Ι5109 (Iota).
Lá, Reiji se junta à dupla forense Kiki Iwai e Kotobuki Takanari.
Eles investigam um caso curioso onde humanos viram espuma, e durante essa investigação, eles são atacados por um novo Emons.
Em meio ao perigo, Kiki realiza seu processo de galvanização, tornando-se Gavan Luminous.
Na Terra Σ3302 (Sigma), instalações importantes desaparecem uma após a outra. Reiji chega ao local e se une à dupla Formimoto e Shouko Hanemura para investigar o caso, e o fato de Formimoto ser ""quem ele é"" deixa Reiji intrigado.

Logo em seguida, quem aparece é Fade, um Ladrão Fantasma, que persegue ambas.
Koto intervém para protegê-las, porém durante o confronto, uma Emorgear se descontrola e acaba colocando Emu em perigo.
Reiji capta esse distúrbio do Emorgear e parte até lá...
Um incidente na Terra-A0073 (Alfa) eclode.
Todos, sem exceção, e de cada seção, partem rumo ao local, mas logo em seguida, do nada, surge um Gavan de armadura preta.
Tal Gavan fere o Coronel Date, e ao vê-lo caído agonizando, Reiji acaba projetando em sua mente a imagem de seu antigo mentor, Taito Gatou.
Com tamanha ira que o consome há tempos, Reiji enfrenta Death Gavan pra valer, mesmo à beira do colapso.

Disparos à longa distância de Nega Emolgy parecem ser o motivo.
Setsuna decide investigar, e acaba se lembrando de um homem que atuou como atirador de elite na antiga guerra interestelar que esteve.
